REAL CHANGE BEGINS HERE.

We recognize that ‘one-size-fits-all’ nutrition advice often fails to optimize health. We all spend time looking for the quickest solution to becoming the fittest, healthiest, and even thinnest person we can. We try all the new trends (Keto, Cleanses, Paleo, Low-Carb, etc.) yet we are still searching for a solution. The good news is the solution exists – and the even better news is the YMCA can provide it to you.

Our Nutrition Counseling Programs provide individualized nutrition plans using your body’s metrics, your goals, and your lifestyle. Our Orange County based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will support your wellness journey – both virtually and in person – over the course of a 6-session package, as well as provide accountability, support, and strategies specific for you to help you achieve your goals.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Nutrition counseling is personalized, one-on-one support with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Together, you’ll create a realistic plan based on your body, goals, lifestyle, food preferences, and schedule.

This program is for anyone who wants expert guidance with healthy eating, weight management, building lean muscle, improving energy, managing a health condition, or creating a more balanced relationship with food.

You’ll begin with an intake so your dietitian can learn about your goals, habits, health history, and challenges. Across your sessions, you’ll receive a personalized nutrition plan, accountability, progress check-ins, and practical strategies to help you stay on track.

Yes. A custom meal guide is included with the 6-session nutrition counseling package. Your dietitian will build it around real foods, your goals, preferences, and schedule, so healthy eating feels realistic and sustainable.

Nutrition counseling can support weight loss, weight gain, lean muscle gain, improved eating habits, better energy, sports and fitness goals, heart health, blood sugar management, and overall wellness.

Yes. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist can help with nutrition goals related to diabetes, heart health, blood pressure, kidney health, and other medical concerns. Your plan will be personalized to your needs and health history.

No. You can benefit from nutrition counseling with or without an exercise routine. If you are exercising, your dietitian can help you fuel your workouts, support recovery, and align your nutrition with your fitness goals.

Everyone’s progress looks different. Some people notice changes in energy, confidence, digestion, habits, or consistency before physical changes. Your dietitian will help you define success and adjust your plan as your body and goals change.

Most clients will track their food in some way. This gives your dietitian helpful insight into your habits, schedule, portions, and food choices. Together, you’ll choose a tracking format that feels manageable for you, such as an app, written journal, food photos, or another approach that fits your lifestyle.

Metabolism testing helps us understand how many calories your body uses at rest. From there, your dietitian can create more personalized daily nutrition targets, including calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber, based on your body, goals, and lifestyle.

An InBody scan is a quick, non-invasive body composition scan that looks beyond the number on the scale. It provides insight into muscle, fat, and water, giving you a clearer picture of your progress.

Yes. Your sessions are confidential, and telehealth appointments are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform.
