The Y is for everyone. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the YMCA of Orange County doesn't turn anyone away for their inability to pay, every child, adult, and family who walks through our doors is welcome, regardless of background or financial circumstance. That's what it means to build a community where everyone feels seen, everyone matters, and everyone belongs.
Right now, Orange County needs that more than ever. Seniors are isolated. Young families are stretched thin. Kids are struggling to feel connected in a world that pulls them toward screens instead of each other. We're evolving to meet that moment, building a network of community hubs designed for every age and every stage, so no one falls through the cracks.
We're reimagining what a Y branch can be: not standalone facilities, but community hubs where a teenager, a young parent, and an active senior all find their reason to belong under the same roof. Building that takes more than a building. It takes coordinating housing, wellness, and programming toward one purpose, and looking beyond our own doors to the neighborhoods around us— your gift makes that possible.
Membership revenue sustains our core services, but it can't on its own fund affordable access, expanded youth and special needs programming, or spaces designed around connection. For someone choosing between a membership and groceries, financial assistance is the difference between being part of the community and being left out of it. Donor support funds scholarships and reduced-cost memberships so a parent's ability to pay never decides whether their kid learns to swim, or a senior to stay active and connected, or a child to find a safe, welcoming place to belong after school.
Together, we can invest in our community, connect families, empower youth, and engage seniors, building the kind of intergenerational relationships that make a community stronger for today and for generations to come. Together we are HERE for GOOD!

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible experience for our members, the Fullerton Family YMCA began renovations in June 2025. These upgrades and improvements will bolster our current foundation and will enhance our facility and ensure it remains a welcoming space for fitness, connection, and community for years to come.
The Newport-Mesa Family YMCA is being thoughtfully reimagined as a vibrant, inclusive community hub designed to inspire healthy living, lifelong learning, and meaningful connections. Nearly tripling in size, the expanded 50,000-square-foot campus is rooted in the YMCA’s core mission to strengthen spirt, mind and body for all.

How We Fundraise
Our fundraising happens year-round through our Annual Campaign— inviting members, businesses, and neighbors to invest directly into the belonging we work to build every day with our Financial Assistance and free Community programs. From children at our Afterschool sites hosting bake sales, to special group exercise classes whose proceeds support the Annual Campaign, to staff giving back through payroll donations, and KidZone Date Nights raising funds so parents can enjoy an evening out while supporting the Y— it truly is a community effort in every sense.
Throughout the year we also come together at annual community fundraising events like our Crab Feast, Golf Tournaments, and July 4th Run in the Parks.
In 2026, our goal is to raise $1,000,000 to support our community. Will you help us reach that goal?

The YMCA of Orange County has a storied history of stepping in to save fellow YMCAs from financial struggle and near bankruptcy. That history is part of what makes our approach to fundraising unique— we give from a place of strength, not necessity. Membership dues and program fees fund our daily operations, which means your donation doesn’t go towards keeping the lights on. It goes entirely back into our community, amplifying the connection and belonging we’re able to create for the people who need it most.
We take that responsibility seriously. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly into supporting our community. Our finances are reviewed annually by an independent auditor, and our IRS Form 990 is publicly available HERE for anyone who wants to see exactly how funds are used.
